Every participant of the Mastering Inner & Outer Freedom courses is tasked with exploring, developing, and living his or her own Philosophy of Freedom.
In Mastering Inner & Outer Freedom 1, the participants have engaged in the work of rethinking the philosophical ideas of the West constituting the ideological basis of The Declaration of Independence & The Constitution of the United States, including the introduction to the philosophies especially of Epicurus & Spinoza and of Lao Tzu & Chuang Tzu.
In Mastering Inner & Outer Freedom 2, the participants have engaged in the study of the philosophies of the East, the philosophy of self-realization, through Shobogenzo Genjokan and Bhagavad Gita that are paradigmatic paths of Spiritual Awakening essential for attaining Inner Freedom.
Further, they have engaged in the study of the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, through Thus Spoke Zarathustra, which is foundational for the origination of new consciousness of the future.
Mastering Inner & Outer Freedom 3
The work continues. In MIOF 3, we will continue our in-depth study of the philosophy of Nietzsche.
Also, we will begin the in-depth study of George Ivanovich Gurdjieff’s work through his monumental masterpiece Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson, and others works by him and his brilliant students.
What Nietzsche was to modern Western philosophy Gurdjieff was to modern spiritual philosophy. Gurdjieff has gone beyond where Nietzsche as well as other spiritual philosophers and masters left off in the understanding of the universe, the cosmic significance of human existence in the universe, and the further reaches of spiritual awakening and human evolution.
The Integral Approach to Freedom
We approach inner and outer freedom integrally, because those who are not internally free are incapable of creating true outer freedom, while those who are unconcerned of outer freedom, of liberty of others and society, lack the essential moral, ethical, and spiritual ingredients to achieve authentic inner freedom.
MIOF 3 starts in September 2022. The exact dates TBA.
The format will be the same as MIOF 1 & 2. Six monthly three-hour plus online discourses and discussions plus ongoing written discourses and discussions.
Tuition is $900. Payable before September 1, 2022.
“Yasuhiko Genku Kimura is a wellspring of life-changing insights and world-changing ideas. He is wise, funny, perceptive, and caring. Although I had the fortune to learn from many brilliant professors in four years at Harvard, I have found Yasuhiko’s insights to be truer, deeper, and more energizing than theirs. I encourage all to explore and engage with his transforming insights and ideas.”
-Mark Frazier, CEO & President at Openworld Village – USA, Chair at Startup Societies Foundation
“Yasuhiko Genku Kimura is a one-of-a-kind teacher and it is the opportunity of a lifetime to study with him. His intellect is astounding, yet he is balanced and playful, and has the unique ability to see into a person. It is truly an honor to study with Yasuhiko and I consider him the greatest teacher of my life.”
-Krista Tucker, Executive Producer and Head Writer at Walt Disney TV Animation
“What makes Yasuhiko Genku Kimura a great philosopher is that instead of just being a philosopher-guru to us through sharing his wisdom, he masterfully helps us become a freethinker and philosopher in our own right and develop our own philosophy. He is such a rare gift!”
-Belinda Clements, Artist
